It seems that maybe we should have a set amount of money that is divided up equally between the parties that they can use for their campaigning.
TV time could be donated by major networks to have a certain number of debates between candidates during each campaign season.
Local tv and news networks could do the same thing for more local elections in order for senate and congressional candidates to have an equal amount of time, or televised town hall meeting debates, so that people can make an informed decision instead of just voting for who paid for the most tv commercials and advertising without even telling us what they really stand for on the issues.
We don't pretend to have all the answers, but we do want to start having some discussions and spreading awareness. Help us in the comments. Any ideas?
This is another old one that we decided to put up here in order to help get the conversations started. Let us know what you think in the comments and help us figure out what the heck we can do to fix this system. It can't continue on the way it has.
